Monolithos is on the south east coastline of Santorini. The village took its name from the large rock 'Monolithos' upon which stands the church of Agios Ioannis.

Monolithos has at least 2 beaches to swim & sunbath, with fine black sand and crystal clear waters, organized with sunbeds & umbrellas, ideal for families.

There is also a large non-organized beach where you can relax privately with no crowd. It is preferred by locals.

The drive to the beach is gorgeous and scenic with large sandy cliffs. There is also ample parking. At the beach there are a few Greek taverns & restaurant but the place is also ideal to bring your own lunch or snacks. There is also a Mini Market selling various products.
